Just finished the puzzle for the 4th time (mixing all the pieces)!! I was trying to raise $24,000 for Autism Speaks - a $1 a puzzle piece- so far I have raised $6,000!
I documented the entire process- creating a video and everything!
Check out my website: www.everypiececounts.com and you can also find us on Facebook and Twitter!

Thanks Royce B. McClure for creating the most beautiful and amazing puzzle out there :)

I live in the Washington, DC area and am looking for folks who might want to challenge themselves to this task...tried to find a jigsaw puzzle group in the area but couldn't find one...so if anyone knows of any in my area please reply

Hello,

My wife and I were the first in the world to complete the 24000 piece LIFE puzzle back in 2007. You can see our entry in the HOF http://worldslargestpuzzle.com/hof.html here. As you may know there is now a new largest puzzle that is 32000 pieces called "Double Retrospect" and is made by Ravensburger. We just received the puzzle a couple days ago and are starting it tonight. We won't be the first in the world to complete this one since I have already seen a YouTube video of a completed puzzle. However, you can follow our progress on our blog at: http://slaterpuzzles.blogspot.com

Hello,
I have an important question for anyone who'll answer. Here is the email I sent to the company.

I'm interested in purchasing one of your puzzles.The only thing is I won't be putting it on a vertical wall. I want to put the world's largest puzzle on a flat surface that juts out at an angle.
Here is a crude diagram.

\\
  \\
   \\
    \\
     \\
     ||||
     ||||
I'd like to put it on the inside with screws and plexiglass. A plank of wood will be nailed on the small vertical space to prevent the puzzle from slipping down. Please let me know if this sounds plausible or is the puzzle too heavy for my idea. I can also get a better picture if necessary.

Sharon, if you take a look at the hall of fame section on the original worldslargestpuzzle.com website, you'll see the first to complete story of Scott and PJ Slater. They have a detailed accounting of how they used contact paper, contact adhesive, and foam board to "glue" the puzzle together without touching the front of the puzzle. They hung it on the wall and it looks great. They outline their technique pretty well if you read their detailed entry about it.
