In my case, this puzzle was a Christmas gift in 2007 and it initially appeared that whoever gave it to me wanted revenge for something. Robin Sykora, of Corpus Christi, purchased the puzzle online around June 2007. It has 24000 pieces, is 14 feet by 5 feet, and took her a total of 6 months to complete the entire puzzle.

The puzzle came separated into four bags which were each worked on a sheet of plywood and after the final section was completed, with the help of her husband Bryan, daughter Krystle, son-in-law Daniel and her mom Dubby, they finaly got it put together. About 4 years ago, I searched the Internet for the World's largest puzzle and I found the Ravensburger 4 world maps puzzle.

When it came in the mail I couldn't believe how big it was but I mixed together all 18,000 pieces and went to work. I finished almost exactly a year later and told myself never again would I do something like that. That is until it wasn't the largest puzzle in the world any more, so when I saw the 'Life' puzzle I knew that one day it would hang on the other wall by the one I had already finished. .... Each quadrant took us about a month. The total number of pieces that I've put together for puzzles with 2000 or more pieces is now 91,200.

Every year for Christmas my mother struggles to find something that each of us will like. It's a really big task because there are so many of us. My parents have five sons and four daughters and all of us are married. The fifteen grandchildren and friends make it even harder. This is what she came up with...The World's Largest Puzzle!!! It has TWENTY FOUR THOUSAND pieces and measures 5 by 14 feet. The largest puzzle previously attempted by anyone in our family is ONE thousand pieces, so this should be quite a challenge. This really is exciting for us, as the largest puzzles we had done before this one were only about a thousand pieces. I'm Aditya Nagpal writing in on behalf of the Jigsaw Enthusiasts from Adobe Systems India Pvt. Ltd. in Noida, India. I'm pleased to inform you that I and my team (18 members total, all employees of Adobe Systems India Pvt. Ltd.) have successfully solved the 24000pc Life puzzle for the first time in India. Not only that, we have done it non-stop for the first time in the world in a clock time of 108 hrs 43 mins. We practised a lot for this event, and during the course of practice, we solved the 1000pc miniature Sea of Life, 2000pc Sea of Life, 3000pc Life and 4000pc Slice of Life puzzles as well.
